Awful. The book itself is easy to read as described by other reviewers, but Norton has made this a terrible option for students. Likely you need this book for your college Anthropology course. If so, you will likely need to access Norton's online component. If so, your Kindle will not include your access code, so you will need to buy one on their website. If you do that, you get access to their ebook. However, this ebook is flash based and only accessible with an internet connection. You will almost assuredly not be able to access it on your tablet, iPad, etc. so really you probably needed the Kindle edition too.There has been some sort of miscommunication between Amazon and Norton and the student/reader is the one losing out. I do not understand why I need to pay over $90 for an electronic file that I can also gain access to for $55 on Norton's website, yet I need to buy both and they cannot just give some sort of bundle option when the physical textbook costs less to purchase brand new with an access code and shipping included on Amazon's website.
Really interesting book. Was a textbook that I actually enjoyed reading and learned a lot from. If all textbooks were this useful, it wouldn't hurt so much to buy them (at the used/discount prices, at least) each semester.
This book stated that it was in good condition. Although it is currently meeting the needs of my class the book in my opinion is not in good condition as it has many highlighted sentences in it. I find this to be very distracting when doing my own learning. The cover was in fair condition with folds and wrinkles and there were some pages torn. In my opinion the book should have been rated "fair condition" rather than "good condition" and been sold for a reduced cost than what I paid for it.
One of my favorite books, and classes. If you've taken Anthropology, it makes you see things in a whole different way. This book has a lot of good information, and if your class requires it, it's affordable, too. You don't have to invest too much on this. I'd definitely recommend it to Anthropology students, or anyone who's interested. It'll make you want to change your major.

easy to read, understand, making it easy to remember the concepts....excellently written book.
One of the more interesting textbooks ive had. Easy to understand and structured in a way that is helpful for understanding the bigger picture of anthropology.
This book was very useful and helpful for me in completing and passing my class this summer semester in Introduction to Physical Anthropology.
