Editing: There are questions at the end of each chapter. "See appendix C for answers and rationales for all activities." Appendix C has formulas for calculating dosages. I really could use the answers for studying. Also there is an obvious lack of thorough proofreading of this text.Cost: At the college bookstore, this book was 122 dollars. Here on Amazon I got it for ~95. That's a lot of money to pay for something that is unfinished. Come on Pearson.Content: hard to say since I'm not a pharmacology expert. My professor selected it new for this semester so we'll see what happens.
When you buy this book in order to get the answers from the end of chapter questions you have to purchase a supplement for another $50!As if the publishers don't make enough money off of the students. The older edition is more in-depth and has the end of chapter answers, i recommend that buy that one instead.
This text is really wordy. I found that It repeats information a lot of the time, there are however little inserts for the prototype drugs and the "nurses role" which is really useful when studying for an exam or the nclex! Honestly, I just focused on what the book emphasized and restated (about three times) and ended up getting a 102 on my last exam! Good luck to all of the future RNs reading this!! :)
Good book but I was pretty disappointed when the condition was good but the front and back cover were extremely worn and bent. Almost all the chapters already had highlighted material in it. Just frustrating when I thought I was ordering a decent book and recieved something that was less than good condition.
Seriously???? Review questions with no answers listed anywhere throughout the book? Wtf....probs returning this
