I've been looking for a poetry collection that is dedicated to mental health. It's easy to find poetry about love and grief but I haven't come across anything solely dedicated to something like depression and mental health.This collection is very raw and sometimes painful to read. I have struggled with depression for a large part of my life and felt like the collection was very relatable. I love that the poems are printed on black paper and that some of the words are grey instead of white to create a "poem within a poem."Overall, I really enjoyed this collection and hope this poet gets more recognition!
great book !
I was looking forward to an engaging and eye-opening poetic experience with depression, but when I got this book, I was met with the creativity and writing abilities of my high school self. I was very disappointed that it only skimmed the surface of the true turmoils of living with depression and approached this topic with a tone of voice that clearly establishes an inexperienced and minimally talented writer. It seemed to me that the book was aimed at a younger audience who hasn't experienced the real world.
I’m big into poetry now. This book just didn’t move me with words. Also the pictures were hard to see.
Not a fan at all. The rhymes were annoying...minimalistic and just simply childish...
Overly simple. Quite boring unfortunately. Would not recommend even with the price.
